Our History

June of 2003 marked the 53rd anniversary of Tidewater Express. Ralph L. Walston Sr. began his career in the U.S. Army in 1958. He used that experience to build Tidewater Express into a successful trucking company. After his death in 1988 his two sons Ralph Jr. & Randy took over the daily operations. They continue to successfully run the family business as of today.

Through the grace of God and strong family values Tidewater Express has evolved into one of the East Coast's most trusted and dependable carriers of fresh & frozen seafood.

Today the company is run by a strong management team whose combined transportation and seafood experience adds up to over 200 years. Our team of dedicated, experienced professionals are committed to honesty, fairness, and the highest quality of transportation service.
